Aif files tagged in Windows not showing metadata in Mac

I've been using mp3tag (v3.23) on my Windows (v10.0.19045) computer to add artwork, tags, and metadata to my .aif files for the purposes of sending to music supervisors.

Once they are all tagged, I add them to a shared pcloud folder, which I then share with my contacts. One of my colleagues, who works on a Mac mentioned to me that two out of the seven songs were appearing without metadata once he downloaded all of them. He was checking them in "Get Info" on iTunes. I verified this by checking on another Mac that I have access to.

These two files were converted from .wav to .aif using Reaper's Batch File/Item converter function. Only one other song in the playlist (which is showing up with all tags and metadata once it's downloaded on Mac) was also converted from .wav to .aif in the same manner. All the other songs were previously converted to .aif via a DISCO account that I used to have access to.

When I pull up these two songs in my Windows mp3tag program, they both show up with all of their artwork, metadata, tags that I added to them.

I haven't been able to pinpoint where the problem is originating from.

Any help on this would be appreciated! Thank you.

I found this thread in a different forum, dealing with wav to aif conversion:

That thread mentions a number of other tools so it may be worthwhile to see if those help you better.
You may realize that it may be a little much for others to setup your specific tool chain. An exchange of tool on your side would be much more efficient IMHO as you have all the files and data at hand.

Thank you for your response! Yes, I'd read this one prior to posting on here, but wanted to find it again because it mentions a couple of workarounds that might just work for some of these problem files.

Luckily, I have access to Macs and can probably do all this tagging business on there, but I was trying to make it more efficient for me since most of my catalog organization happens on my Windows computer.

I'll just have to transfer my workflow for now to Mac so that I can continue working with no hitches. I'll slowly troubleshoot this problem and report back when I find a proper solution.

I've checked with *.aiff files I tagged on Windows using Mp3tag and once copied over to the Mac, they also show their metadata.

I'm not sure where the problem lies, but it's obvious that it's not a general issue affecting all files tagged on Windows.

If you want to share the problematic files, you can contact me via email or PM.

Thank you! Yes, it only seems specific to a couple of files. I just went through the same exact process with another set of files and all the data transfers perfectly from Windows to Mac.
