So I noticed something this evening. I wouldn't call it a bug, but I also wouldn't call it expected behaviour.
Let's say I've got a bunch of tracks that I'm finding artwork for. If I paste artwork into a file and then move away from that file, say by clicking on another file, the changes get saved automatically. BUT... if I continue to make changes to the file (e.g. put the correct year) and then move the cursor to another track or hit enter, the changes don't get saved.
It took me a minute to figure out what was going on because I thought for a moment I must have been doing something wrong. And I kind of was, because I now realise the program doesn't work like that. But it would be nice if it did. Just thought I'd flag it for consideration. Thanks.
When you observe this, are you performing the changes directly in the File List?
Yes, sorry, I should have specified. I hardly ever use the sidebar except when I'm handling artwork. The rest of hte time I tend to use the file list.
So yes, if I have a bunch of tracks in a list and then I make a change to the artwork (using the sidebar obviously) for one or more tracks, the changes get saved simply by clcking on an unselected track (or away from the list). The same thing happens if I edit a field and then click away.
But if I alter the artwork AND make a change to one of the other tag fields in the list, when I click away to save, the changs don't get saved. And I'm saying I think the behaviour ought to be the same, regardless.
Good point, thanks for clarifying! I’ll look into that and will keep you posted.
