I’m a huge fan of the app and have been using it since 2022. I’m currently putting together several mixtapes. Is it possible to set an overall album cover while also having a different, specific cover for each individual song within that album? Thanks for your help!
You can save several pictures in mp3 files.
But where would you save a picture that only appears if some files are grouped together?
The grouping would be a task of the player and therefore it would be a feature of the player to display various pictures.
MP3tag can only embed the pictures. It has no influence what the player makes of them.
Along with the suggestion by @ohrenkino you can also define different covers types such as Front, Back, Leaflet, and others. However these are also player dependent. YMMV
thank you for answering. I saw that I can that I can upload more then 1 images but thought if I did that to every song, then the 1st image would be the album cover images not the song images. However, that is not how iTunes looked at it.
Are you saying I need to play around in iTunes and see how they look at album covers over song covers?
So, I saw this but didn’t know that it meant. Well, I know what the Front and Back meant but the others I didn’t. I’m guessing, I need to understand iTunes more.
Thank you for commenting
Yes. The player has to group the files so that they appear as albums.
MP3tag handles every file individually.
Thank you for telling me this.
I tried adding 2 covers
1 for the album
1 for the songs
and iTunes didn’t like it lol but I’ll keep playing with this.
Thank so much
