Alternative to Option-Dragging for Appending Files..?

Hi, All... new user here. One of my uses for MP3Tag is creating .m3u playlists, so I'll want to drag files from various locations in the Finder (MacOS) into the main window. It seems that MP3Tag's default behaviour is to overwrite any files that are already there rather than appending them to the list. I know that I can use Option (Alt)-drag to append the files but is there any way to set 'append' as the default behaviour?

My situation is exacerbated by the fact that I only have the use of one hand, so have to use Sticky Keys and, believe me, this can complicate things... The number of times over the last few days that I've built a long playlist then dragged more files to it and forgotten to set the Option, key, wiping out my carefully constructed playlist...

TIA,

Tim

Hi Tim and welcome!

Unfortunately, it's not possible to configure the behaviour at the moment, and change it to appending the files by default.

One idea ist to use the File โ†’ Add... menu item and maybe re-assign a different, easier keyboard shortcut than โ‡งโŒ˜O as described in the macOS User Guide: Create keyboard shortcuts for apps on Mac.

Vielen Dank, Florian.. :+1: Cmd-Shift-O does the trick!!!
