Audio format converter - need suggestion

I've got a bunch of songs that are in FLAC format and I want to convert them to MP3. I cannot hear the difference between FLAC and MP3 and the size difference is HUGE. I've searched the web and get TONS of hits and just got confused during the research.

I'm looking for suggestions as to what I should use.

  • I want a utility that will allow me to convert a large group of files
  • I'd like for it to support drag & drop of either the files or a folder
  • Ideally it would be inexpensive

Thanks - it looks good but early this AM after discussing the issue with a local friend I settled on Goldwave, partly because I make lecture recording and I can use Goldwave to edit the recording (remove noise, silence, etc.) and it will also convert from one format to another.
