Audiobook in Plex merge file into one album

Can I get help merging files so that they show as one album using this software? I know I can merge with plex, but if I need to reset plex or plex does crash, all my merged from plex files scatter again.

Thanks,

Which tag fields have you set?
To make them 1 album, usually the tag fields ALBUMARTIST, ARTIST, ALBUM, TITLE, TRACK and YEAR should be set.
How your player can be triggered to update its database is beyond the scope of MP3tag.

Mp3tag can help you to manage the metadata in your audio files as @ohrenkino already mentioned.

If you are looking for a software that really merge multiple audio files into 1 single audio file, then Mp3tag is not suitable for this purpose.

I'm just curious:
Did you find the Mp3tag forum from this Audiobook Guide for Plex?

tag fields. Ok Thank you.

I would rather have separte chapters, and yes

Which tag fields do I have set? I don't know. I did not set any fields

What do the tag panel, the file list or the extended tags dialogue show? All empty?

Not sure what the tag panel is. I don't know about extended tags are. Apparently I'm not worthy of the forums.

Can you recommend another app?

You could have a look at the documentation:

Have you installed mp3tag and use it to open the file(s) you want to update? This is the most basic functionality of what mp3tag is for.

Btw this has nothing to do with the merge function in Plex. But proper tagging will eliminate the need for using the merge feature.

I have it installed. Yes

Your short form answers aren’t helping to provide you any guidance. See post #2 to start with the basic info you should add yourself. Then have Plex refresh the library and apply these changes as well.

Ok, I have all tags from post #2 set, refreshed library. The albums tracks are still listed as separate albums or tracks in my audiobook library The documentation listed here doesn't account for my question. I have also searched the manual for this issue and have not found an answer. Hence, I posted this querey.

Maybe post a screenshot of the list of files open in the main window. If they all share a common Album and Albumartist at a minimum, they should get grouped together. This is no different than how a music album is combined.

Yes. You ask how to use a feature of your player.
So, first of all you would have to find out what the requirements of your player are and then it is fairly likely that MP3tag's functions can help you to meet these requirements.
As you said,

I tried to divert you to a source of information so that we can use the same vocabulary to address items and features over the distance.
When you say that you

did you notice any other change for the tracks like the ALBUMARTIST being shown now?
A screenshot, as @MotleyG said, would be really helpful.
