Autofill Genres in file list

In your next update, can you make it so that MP3Tag ‘Autofill’ the Genre, Year, etc the fields when you begin to type. It only comes up when you are doing like ‘batch’ editing.

Also, in the Genre field can you add these new Genres:
Afrobeat | Lovers Rock | Orchestra | Ballroom | Remix | Diva Anthem |

Thank You.

Please see the FAQs for Genre:

which means: add the genres yourself.

I don't know what you mean by

I think this already happens with the data from the selected files.
If you want to have certain values in some fields to appear then use the same technique as for the customization of the genre field.

See also this thread:

to which you never responded.

So when you begin to type under the Genre, let’s say you are typing ‘Doo Wop’ it should automatically suggest / fill in ‘Doo Wop’.

Just like when you begin to type in the left panel

Ok I see, the Genre customisation box. Maybe those can be added as part of an update

I see your point.
With the addition of user-defined value lists, it is a nice idea to get these values also in the file list.
In the old days, when standard values could only be maintained with a number of action of the type "Format value" it did not matter where the current input focus was - the action effected the field and the field was then displayed in the tag panel or the file list (or the extended tags dialogue).
So now, if you have spent the effort to define user-defined (or standard) values for a field, it would be nice to have that list anywhere at hand - not only in the tag panel but also in the file list (and the extended tags dialogue - although there it may be difficult as the input box does not allow dropdown lists).
I think the feature to access the user-defined values should be available in all the tag modifying situations.

+1 from me! Seemed inconsistent to me for some time already.

Custom List Values and Genres are now, with Mp3tag v3.31f, auto-suggested when editing tags in the File List and via Extended Tags.
