Greetings
Could someone please explain what the C and N represent after the bitrate number.
I'm including an image.
Thank you for the wonderful software.

I don't know - I would assume that the column contents is something user-defined.
Mine looks like this:

So, what does your definition look like?
I appreciate the query, I don't recall altering this value yet mine is different than yours.

I have employed a 'dano_01' html export template from this forum to assist me in exporting my database to a pdf. But that is the only modification I've made to the default settings.
As you can see it reflects the contents of _VBR.
I would see V for variable bitrates and C for constant bitrates in files like mp3. Flac does not have this attribute.
^ I have editted in a further bit of info above fyi
In any case, your assessment makes perfect sense. I thank you for your help!
I'll mark this thread resolved.
Must have been the export template I used which altered the column ![]()
" I would see V for variable bitrates and C for constant bitrates "
It was the N (there was no V) which really threw me off FYI
I still can't guess what that stands for
Select a file that shows the mysterious N and open Convert>Tag-Tag and enter as
Format string: %_vbr%
This should show you the whole word/the complete abbreviation.
C would resolve to CBR
V would resolve to VBR
and N?
I clicked 'Preview' after selecting Tag-Tag etc, and see 'Normal" hmm

The operation Fails, possibly bc it's a full album in .ape file format
