Bulk rename utility

Is there a way of bulk renaming Titles?

At the moment I use the tag –> filename, then I use Bulk Rename Utility to sort out the naming within the filename (usually removing an artist/composer etc) and then back to MP3tag to use filename –>tag.

The above is quite clunky, is there an easier way?

Thanks

Probably, there is.
But without real examples, it is hard to suggest something more detailed.

Thanks, I’ll try this example of Mozart’s horn concerto:

Tagged Title:

Horn Concerto No.1 in D, K.386b (K.412 & 514) : Mozart: Horn Concerto No.1 in D, K.386b (K.412 & 514) - 1. (Allegro) K.412

Horn Concerto No.1 in D, K.386b (K.412 & 514) : Mozart: Horn Concerto No.1 in D, K.386b (K.412 & 514) - 2. Allegro K.514

Horn Concerto No. 2 in E flat, K.417 : Mozart: Horn Concerto No. 2 in E flat, K.417 - 1. Allegro maestoso

……ETC for 12 tracks, I want to remove from the mozart onwards.

Currently the option is to either edit each title individually or copy it to the file name via mp3tag and edit in a separate app called “Bulk Rename Utility” and then use mp3tag to rewrite the filename to the title.

Thanks

Try an action of the type "Guess value"
Source Format: %title%
Guessing pattern: %title% : Mozart: %dummy%

Thanks for your efforts here that but not working for me.

Then you have to tell me exactly what the source string looks like and what the target string should be.
In this case, every character (including space) counts.
Screendumps help in many cases.
These should include also the function that you used.
