Hi All,
Firstly, sorry if this has been covered before but I’m a Newbee here and this issue is driving me mad.
Everything seems to edit correctly with the exception of the “Comments” tag. Whatever I type in the tag editor under comment does not show up in the music file itself. I right click on the file itself to check afterwards and the comment box is blank.
Any ideas please?
I use Music Bee as a player and even when I add a comment in the comment box within the editing feature that doesn’t copy through to the file itself either.
Thanks,
Gary
Please show us a screenshot of the extended tags dialogue Alt-T for a single file with a filled COMMENT but where other programs do not show it.
I would also like to know whether you use an OS with the English language. As the comment field gets a language token which is set to English by default, it could be that the target applications expect a language token corresponding to the OS language settings.
See the Options>Tags>Advanced
to set the language token.
Hi Ohrenkino,
And thanks for getting back to me so quickly and please see screen shots below.
I hope these help,
Please let me know your thoughts.
OK, the language token only applies to MP3 files but not FLAC.
Whether the WIndows Explorer knows how to interpret FLAC tags thoroughly, I don't know.
You could try to add a mapping like this:
where only the line with COMMENT as Target should get your attention.
O.K., Understood.
I will give this a try and let you know.
Thanks so Much!
