Having trouble resizing artwork. If I right click the file, Adjust is greyed out. If I do it from the toolbar it gives the appearance of having worked but the file size remains unchanged. Am I missing something?
Is it an embedded picture or the file from the file system?
A screenshot would help.
Also, it would be nice to see the original dimensions of the picture and what you set in the function to resize.
Here is a screenshot from an example. Hope you can see it. All the files are in my music folder in Win11 file system.
My media player in my new new car can only display images at 500x500 I think. They used to show up in my old car but not this one. I'm trying things by process of elimination to solve the issue.
MP3tag can only resize embedded pictures.
It looks to me that your pictures are currently not embedded.
You would have to embed them first to let MP3tag resize them.
If you want to embed pictures from the track's folder,
select all the files,
try an action (quick) of the type "Import cover from file"
with
Format string: *.jpg
or
Format string: folder.jpg
The try another action (quick) this time of the type "Adjust cover" in which you set the right size.
If your player really needs picture files in the file system then you can export the covers with an action again, this time of the type "Export cover to file"
with
Format string: folder
