In my further tests neither for FLAC nor for MP3 files the CATALOGNUMBER was written back into the files as standard tag. For MP4 or M4A files, the CATALOGNUMBER was written as expected. I don't know why Native Instruments does not handle all the music formats the same way. Would be very helpful, if you could let us know what Native Instruments wrote in its answer.
