Convert Filename to Tag Stopped Working

All of my Music Files are named with the following convention:

Track - Artist - Title

I am on Day 2 of my Trial using mp3Tag for Mac after using it on Windows for years. I have successfully named 15 albums learning the layout of the Mac interface. Now the Convert Filename to Tag no longer works. Is there a limit on the 7 day trial? If it does not work as consistently as it did on Windows why would I pay for this?

There is no limit on the trial wrt. to functionality.

Can you be more specific on that?

And can you post a screenshot of the filenames and the format string you're using with the converter? Usually when this happens, it's a format string that doesn't match the filename.

I have taken two screenshots. The first shows the Tracks with the Convert Button greyed out not allowing me to tag the files. The second shows the Tracks with no id3 Tag Information

It looks like the filenames are most likely using an n-dash (or even an m-dash ) instead of a hyphen -.

If so and if you use the correct dash in your format string, it should be working just fine.

I will try to change the dashes to be - instead of the Longer dashes I have sometimes seen. Thank you so much for your insight into this for me!

It turns out that there were extra spaces within the file names. So instead of - , it was - . Once I removed the extra spaces all worked as it should. Thank you so much for your help!
