Newbie question I know.
Is there an easier way to change the contents of an entire column (or section of a column) by using a fill or copy function? It would be much simplier and faster that using Copy (Ctrl+C) to copy the cell and then Pasting (Ctrl+V) into all the other cells individually.
I am really beginning to like this program, and this site is great to help figure out the details. Thanks.

I'm not sure if I understand you correctly, but I'd select all files, paste the information into the edit field from the tag panel on the left and press the
save button.
Best regards,
Florian
Perfect. Works like a charm.
Thanks

This is exactly my problem. I want to change the name in entire columns. When I try this solution when I click on 'all files' it just greys-out all entries and I cannot make any changes.
So I am changing every line with individual cut-and-pasting.
This software is superb.
Hi Andy,
can you post a screenshot that exemplifies the issue?
Hi Florian,
Thank you for such a rapid response. I've now worked out how to do it from your previous reply to the question, I didn't realise I could still alter the names whilst grey-out.
