Mp3tags is no longer displaying my mp3 movie cover art in my windows 11 movie file folders. My older movies show put any recent movies no longer show the cover art. I have uninstalled and reinstalled as well as updated the mp3tags software, changing tags under options also did not work, any Ideas on how the fix this?
Does MP3tag show the covers?
Could you show the extended tags dialogue Alt-T of a single file that behaves like this?
Do you have the cover art embedded in your files or do you only have cover-files in your folder?
Yes when i click on the file after saving it it does show the cover art.
Hello thanks for replying, however not sure...not sure. In the video folder in windows i had sub folders one is cover art in the video folder I would copy my movies there then use mp3tags to add the cover art to the movie and save it in the main video folder once it saved i would move it to a sub folder labeled vacation video's. This use to work with no problem then recently it just stopped working. In mp3tags it shows the cover art as attached or embedded but it no longer changes the movie label to display the cover art on the movie if that makes sense. So now when you look at a list of my videos some show the artwork and some don't. Not sure if there was a windows update that changed things...it literally was working great attaching the coverart then literally just stopped attaching the cover art. Is there a better way the mp3tags was the only thing I could get to work and change the icon to cover art.?
You have not told us what video file format(s) you are using, or if all of your videos use the same file format. If not, that might explain why Explorer displays some files differently.
Either way, I suggest that you try the excellent freeware utility Icaros Shell Extensions. That will usually solve file icon display problems in Windows Explorer.
the video files are mp4 movies
To verify that the pictures are really embedded, please load the files and apply the following filter:
%_covers% MISSING
any file that shows up in the file list has no embedded cover.
