I’ve been a longtime user of MP3Tag and have been eagerly waiting for the dark mode feature. I’m really excited to see it’s finally here! However, I’ve encountered an issue that I wanted to bring to your attention.
I’m currently using MP3Tag on Windows Server 2022 Datacenter, and while the system-wide dark theme is enabled, the program remains in light mode. From what I’ve read, MP3Tag should automatically switch to dark mode when the system dark theme is active, but this doesn’t seem to happen on my setup.
It would be fantastic if you could look into this, as dark mode is something I’ve really been looking forward to for quite some time.
Thank you for your great work and dedication to continuously improving MP3Tag!
I hope it will be supported for Windows Server. Come to think of it, if it is possible to change the Windows name in the Registry, I think I can enable dark mode.
"EditionID": Change this to a corresponding Windows 10 edition (e.g., Professional or Enterprise).
Step 4: Apply the Changes
Once you've edited these values, close the Registry Editor.
Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
Note: Modifying the registry can lead to system instability. It’s always a good idea to create a backup of your system or registry before making these changes.
I love that I went to google and searched "Windows server 2022 dark mode" and this was the first post. I was searching very generic, but my issue was for mp3tag
I was trying to figure out why MP3Tag was not doing dark mode on my server vm vs my win 11 desktop.
This would be great to have working in server 2022.
I found a workaround, Dark Mode Any App. As long as this program is open in the background, if you open any program and press ALT+Q shortcut, the Colors will be inverted. The shortcut can be changed. There are also a few settings. Thanks to our MP3Tag Developer for their hard work.
