I have an audiobook (M4B file) and noticed that there are extra chapters markers(?). The audiobook should have 38 chapters but it shows 40 chapters. I noticed that the extra chapter markers(?) happen in the middle of the chapter; so it is say that its a new chapter when it is not. When I have "list chapters as separate files" option and try to delete the extra chapters, it still shows in the VLC and also show up again in mp3tag after I reload the file. Is there a way to delete extra chapter marker(?) in an m4b audiobook?
It's currently not possible to remove individual chapters from M4B audiobooks with Mp3tag.
Personally, I use Audiobookshelf to edit chapter information, then use the 'Embed Metadata' feature, and afterwards redo the metadata using the MP3Tag Audible Metadata plugin, but that’s just me.
There are other tools, such as Chapter Master – David Grigg but it looks rather outdated. Reads the chapter information okay when I just tried it however.
