I recognized that my improvident usage of webp album art pictures has led to problems on my car multi media system. So I need to replace all webp/image tags by jpeg/image tags apparently.
Is there a possibility to detect only the songs with webp/image within my collection of 32000 songs and to modify them? Or do I need to read in all of them and to start a brut force "adjust cover" prodecure over all of them?
To to end of this thread I give a hint to all Volkswagen sound system users:
If your media player is unable to show you particular Album Arts, than the reason can be that you have embedded image/webp covers within your mp3 files. That was the reason for an two years long ongoing issue that two workshops were unable to solve. Hope that helps some of you.
The image file type support will vary by player. Very few will be able to show webp images. The most commonly accepted images are baseline jpg (not progressive). There are some that will show png images as well. Best bet is to test your player for compatibility, but if you use mobile or portable devices stick with jpg.
