I want to use the rename feature to convert 1000 or so mp3s from the Artisttrackname.mp3 format that they are in, where Artist is a directory, however i havn't been able to figure out how to tell mp3tag to read the directory for the artist name or %1 parameter.

The other question i have is: is there english support/help available for download? There isn't an option to select your language w/ the 2.13 install. Thanks,

Hi Mark,

for extracting the artist name from a directory and save this artist in the ID3-tag you can use the converter filename - tag with a formatstring like %i%t.

There is no english help-file available at the moment, because it's a very time consuming task to translate the german help-file to english. But if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!
