Hi, don’t know if this a problem with the WiiM Home app, MinimServer or even mp3Tag, but disc numbers for box sets display weirdly… as you can see, sometimes there’s no disc numbers at all, sometimes there’s a disc title and sometimes I actually get disc numbers (whether they’re tagged in mp3Tag as ‘Disc Number:’ ‘1’ or ‘1/8’ makes no difference)… any idea what I should be looking at..? TIA
Check the extended tags dialogue Alt-T for the files that display OK and those that don't and find out the differences.
If you do not see them, show us the screenshots of those dialogues.
Thanks, I'll give that a try...
So, Displaying as normal:
Displaying without disc numbers:
Presumably those 'DISC', 'DISC#'' and 'DISCNUMBER' Ttags are creating a conflict..?
Displaying Disc Titles:
Whole heap o' crazy... I'm assuming that editing these extended tags so that they correspond exactly to what I have in my Tag Panel would be the way to go..?
That is what I would have assumed - it should be easy for you to test if that is the root cause.
The official field is called DISCNUMBER and will be written into your files according to your music format (FLAC? mp3?)
Are you sure that the player now shows the updated information?
Perhaps as a test: add an underscore or something similar to the ALBUM data and see whether the player picks it up.
