Does the moving of %APPDATA%\Mp3tag to the installation directory make it portable?

If I move the contents of %APPDATA%\Mp3tag to the installation directory,
can I,
or do I need to,
instruct MP3tag to save the settings in the installation directory from now on, to make it portable?

To have a truly portable installation, it is not only necessary to have all the data in the program folder but also to remove any references to the %appdata% folder from the registry.
The best way to do that would be to uninstall mp3tag again after you have saved a copy of the installation on a portable storage device and removed it from the pc.
A (really) portable installation does not hae features like the explorer shell extensions.
