Drop leading zeros and items in parenthesis?

I have several podcast episodes with weirdly formatted Titles. To save some time, I was hoping that MP3Tag could help me automate this. I've dug a bit in the forums here but so far the correct syntax for the replace with expression action is elusive.

Example Title as is: My Podcast 071 (08-Aug-2008)

Preferred final Title: My Podcast 71

In other words, I'd like to drop the leading zero and completely remove the date. To further complicate things, some of these podcasts range in the 100 range and don't have a leading zero.

Has anyone had luck in doing similar?
