Easy Export Question

#1

I've read the FAQ and Help sections but I'm still having trouble with a simple export configuration.

I want to create two export files. One file will contain just one line per Artist/Album combination. For example,

Artist; Album; Year ; Genre
Kenton, Stan; Journey To Capricorn; 1976; Big Band
Brown, Clifford; Clifford With Strings; 1963; Be-Bop
.
.
.
.

The other will contain one line per track. For Example,

Artist; Album; Track_No; Track_Title; Length
Kenton, Stan; Journey To Capricorn; Too Shy To Say; 4:53
Kenton, Stan; Journey To Capricorn; Granada Smoothie; 5:03
.
.
.
Brown, Clifford; Clifford With Strings; What's New?; 4:15
Brown, Clifford; Clifford With Strings; Tenderly; 3:42
.
.
.

Again, I'm sure this is simple but I'm just not getting the right result.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Florian for this great program. I confess I've been using Mp3tag for about 6 months and only just now and just now made a donation. Well, better late than never I suppose. I encourage all of you who haven't done so to contribute!

Thanks,
-Luther

Have you looked inside the standard export files like txt_taglist? They do one line per track.

If you want one album per track, you can replace $loop(%_path%) with $loop(%album%,1)

Thanks for the reply Dano.

I tried the $loop(%album%,1) and it returned one album only even though many albums were selected. With all my experimenting, it seems I either get just one album or the album listed as mnay times as there are tracks.

Sorry for being so dense about this but it seems like it should be easy.
An other thoughts?

Try this:

$filename(txt_taglist-album.txt)$loop(%album%,1)%artist%; %album%; %year%; %genre%
$loopend()

Perfect! Thanks Dano.
