Without deeper knowledge of what an arbitrarily named action group should do i.e. which actions are part of the group it is very hard to say.
So please show us the contents of an action group that does not work.
Which one have you added and is not listed in your screenshot?
Could you now show us the contents of the action group that opens e.g. the menu Style>CM?
Open the actions, select the action names Style#CM and click on the edit button
The next dialogue window is the interesting one
In order for an action group to do something you have to tell it what that should be.
I guess that in this case you want to set the field GENRE to e.g. CM.
So add an action of the type "Format value" for GENRE to the action group with the name "Style#CM"
Format string: CM
Try if that works for you.
And if so, repeat the steps with contents that corresponds to your expectations.

That is not correct.
You entered the name of the action group in the format string of an action - which was not what was suggested.
As you never told us what you tried to achieve it is mainly guess work and assumptions that lead to suggestions.
If these do not meet your requirements, then the only way out is:
be as exact and descriptive as possible to explain your case.
And then read the suggestions just as thoroughly and ask precisely what is unclear to you.
that i true but before i even started sunmenu i was using actions for input which had the format info in them. so now i understabd and se what is needed. not gonna argue over something that is setup and working now. again i think you for your time and support.
