Edit winamp play count values

I use winamp 5666. I accidently deleted the play count. I want to be able to edit the metadata that contains this item. I cannot find a winamp function that will display this number so I can't edit it

To help you, we need more informations:

  1. Load a song into Mp3tag where the playcount is still inside your file and visible for Mp3tag.
    Please show us a screenshot from Alt + T (View -> Extended Tags).

  2. Tell us, where this playcount content should be copied.
    To another field? Which field? To the filename? Where exactly in the filename?

  3. As we are not the Winamp help forum: Where exactly does Winamp expect and read this playcount? From which embedded tag field?

Please check if this Winamp answer is no more valid:

the playcount is tracked by the history plug-in which works as a media library plug-in and saves it's data to recent.dat/recent.idx in the settings folder (usually in %appdata%\winamp).
