When I try to edit a file that’s opened in another player, it permanently gives me this error, no matter if I close the app afterwards, no matter if I restart the app or computer itself, I just keep getting this same error when I want to edit the tags of the file, the only workaround I found is to make a duplicate copy of the same file and edit the duplicate instead.
Which app are you referring to?
In general: it is always a bad idea to access a file with more than 1 program at the same time.
The block, BTW, is issued by the OS - MP3tag cannot do anything about it.
I think(?) I figured out what was possibly wrong with being unable to edit some songs and I believe it has something to do with the lastfm scrobbler I have installed, because I edit the file just fine when I close that as well, not to mention some times WMP itself also doesn’t close properly and has to end tasks manually from task manager
