Entering tag info on left menu

OK, I know this is a simple question but I haven't been able to find the answer.

All I want to do is type the album name in the Album: field on the left side of the screen, and have the program place that as the album in the tags of all the files on the right. I can type the name in, but then what?

Click the save icon on the toolbar or hit Ctrl-S.

Like stanman said,l but first make sure you have all the tracks selected, then click save.
