What most likely happened is that you've installed the v3.17 version to a different folder than an existing v3.15 version.
I suggest uninstalling the version listed at the control panel (backup your settings and let the uninstaller keep them) and then remove what's left at either C:\Program Files and/or C:\Program Files (x86) manually.
After that, reinstall the latest version and all should be good.
