I had some trouble with version 2.16 and 2.17:
- Used foobaar2000 to add replaygain tags to an album I just encoded in AAC
- Used MP3Tag's auto-numbering wizard, then Tag->Filename
- Now ReplayGain tags are no longer recognized by Foobar2000, displaying them in the general list of metadata as:
REPLAYGAIN_TRACK_GAIN1 = +x.yz dB
REPLAYGAIN_TRACK_PEAK1 = 0.xyxz
REPLAYGAIN_ALBUM_GAIN1 = +x.yz dB
REPLAYGAIN_ALBUM_PEAK1 = 0.abc
Foobar does not recognize these tags as replaygain tags, and plays the files at the wrong level. After re-scanning the files with foobar, it saved new tags with the correct info.
I did one additional test, and it looks like it is the auto-number wizard, which kills/renames the replaygain tags such that foobar no longer recognizes them.
I can always run MP3Tag first, then replaygain scan, but it would be nice to be able to run MP3Tag without having it mess up the replaygain tags.
Advice?
