I have searched the forums for the words, cue, cue point and cuepoint, and can't see anything. It seems a pretty obvious request, so I was surprised when it didn't turn up.
I am using mp3 tag for our community radio station, and if it had a cue point editor it would be able to do the entire job. ie rename + tag all our files and put it into our automation software with all the cue points ready too.
It would be great if cuepoints could be read by mAirlist too!
BTW, I know this was since ages ago - I would just want to add my 2 cents to the general discussion - AFAIK there is no single standard about how to store CUE points in MP3 tags. It seems that ID3v1 specification, or at least the corresponding Wikipedia article, mentions something about start-time and end-time tags, but it's questionable if these tags are handled properly by the modern MP3 players. (foobar2000 doesn't respect these tags, it seems).
I also saw that RadioDJ software uses a proprietory custom tag called MUSICIP_PUID that contains various metadata, including start and end times.
So I guess that as far as the general functionality of mass-saving custom ID3 tags, MP3TAG already does that (i think) - one has to investigate what exact ID3 tags are used for interpreting start and end cue points by their preferred player software - and then use these tags..
E.g. in foobar2000 I found a Skip Track plugin that uses a SKIP ID3 tag to define one or multiple sections that should be skipped.
Where do they get this metadata from?
(MusicBrainz for example has removed all PUID from its database in June 2020.)
MusicIP was initially operated by US company "MusicIP" (later AmpliFIND Music Services). In 2011, the company's CEO, Andrew Stess sold AmpliFIND to Sony, who incorporated it into the digital music service offerings of their Gracenote. Tribune Media subsequently purchased Gracenote, including the MusicDNS software.
It's quite unclear IF and WHERE MusicIP metada are currently available at all.
