Hi there! With FLAC files, sometimes the tag gets corrupted in a way that only affects Windows 10 File Explorer. A file will show as perfectly working in Mp3tag, and in most music players. However, in the File Explorer, no tag details will show.
I've found that if I, using Mp3tag, right click on the file, and click "Remove Tag", then refill in the details, it'll work perfectly and fix the problem. So what I'm doing now is:
- Make a duplicate of the file
- Remove Tag using Mp3tag.
- Copy Tag using Mp3tag, from the duplicate file.
- Paste Tag using Mp3tag, into the original.
- Delete the duplicated file.
That's a lot of steps. It would be awesome if Mp3tag could have another option added to the context menu called Refresh Tag. It would in theory copy all of the information, like "Copy Tag", and then run "Remove Tag" on the file, and "Paste Tag" back onto itself. It would save quite a bit of time.
