Feature Request [Tag Pannel Configuration Shortcuts, re-sizeable multiline fields]

Bit of a feature request...or two

I'd like to be able to add headers in my tag panel.
Sections of bold or larger text that make parts of the tag panel easier to locate.

Or the ability to use two lines of text on the "Name" entry when editing a field.

Another workaround for me would be the ability to use a keyboard shorcut to open a different saved tag panel configuration.

I first planned on just edit the display text for specific fields using mathematical charcaters for bolder larger letters but I am only able to use one line of text so headers here look a bit odd.

In truth l currently just use multiple tag panel configurations but i find the time it takes to switch between configurations a bit bothersome so frequently.

If i put everything in one tag panel configuration its a bit long like a CVS receipt but at least if i could have headers finding sections wouldn't be so bad.

What's most ideal though is being able to switch between tag pan configuration files much faster

Currently i only know

File>options>tag panel>utils>load configuration>Filenam.ini

The files for these configurations don't move can we not call / load these like we do with action groups, quickly?

Just to give you a hint on other user's ideas around the tag panel:

In your case, AFAI see it: you would like to see a list of the (user-defined) tag panel configurations in the Utils button so that you do not have to open the file selection dialogue.
Is that it?

A list of them would be helpful. Anything that speeds the process of switching between user defined tag panel configurations.
If there was a menu button just as there is for actions that held that list of my configurations so i could tap & easily switch that would be great (bonus if we could get some keyboard shortcuts involved)

These are great. Unfortunately the sheer ammount of tags in my panel means this may not do much for me. I do really like the added contrast in fields. I'm going to try that.

I've played tetris with my tag panel for a while, i've optimized actions to rid myself of extra tag fields & minimized fields wherever possible but if I put everything in 1 panel configuration its just long. When it is that long I'd just like more defined tag lables in some places as it seems to just blend together from time to time.

My workaround was to split my tags into sections (configurations)

Then I'd switch to whichever section I was working on. Switching felt like a bit of a drag so i ended up back at the long panel. I've sinced changed a few tag lables to mathematical charcaters.

Maybe the ability to bold a field name could be useful without changing too much of the UI. Thats pretty much all im doing anyways.

Since I'm rambling... why can't multiline fields be re-sized? I have several fields that are multiline but they are unlike a lyrics field.

For Example

Languages:
English
//Jamaican Patois
//Ebonics
//:a: White Female

Many of my fields have non standard entries as I often abuse standard tags to push custom tags through to my music player.

With that said...none of the entries in this field require a "full" size field. A "medium" field taking half of the horizontal space in the vertical tag panel would suffice in this case.

It's unfortunate that once multiline is chosen the option to re-size the field is gone. I'm sure this is to prevent entries that do need a full line getting cut off but this would save me tons of space.

For context.
My setup has two medium fields (Entry Fields) immediately followed by a full Field that is multiline (2lines to keep it small)

Information from the entry fields is dropped down into the multiline field like so

Entry 1
//Entry 2

Later these entries are parsed & concatenated into some standard field.

I do this for Mood, Style, Languages, Subgenres etc. All of which are relatively short pieces of info leaving the right half the multiline field empty

Is this a feasible request? @ohrenkino or have I gone too far?

This is not me to judge. I am just part of the community, no MP3tag developer.

You're kidding! You've been the first on the scene sometimes the only one on the scene...every time.

Truly a Godsend!

Welp
@Florian any thoughts on resizing multiline fields?
