Hm, a last idea, there are two tag-types in the files: ID3v2.3 and ID3v1.
The report shows only the content from the tag-fields of tag-type ID3v2.3 ...
but possibly in the tag-type ID3v1 the values are different ...
and the player can only read the ID3v1 tag?
Maybe the track values in the ID3v1 tag are corrupt?
You should verify this!
Set Mp3tag options "Mpeg" to read only ID3v1, refresh the list view, ... and please tell us what you have seen, or even better ... create a new export report file using the tag dump script and attach it to your next post.
Another last idea, it would be nice to see the actual foldernames and filenames of the related media files, how they are stored into the player's storage medium.
Maybe the player supports only the FAT file system and uses names following the DOS 8.3 convention, so that a filename may look like "SNOWCR~1.MP3".
If that is the case, then there might be salvation for you, ...
I do not remember the name yet, but I know there exist a tool, which can create sortable filenames for the FAT file system.
You should try this!
Maybe ...

http://www.anerty.net/software/file/DriveSort.php

Hm, the definately last idea, you know, the last will be the first ...
without using any other tool, only with Mp3tag, or just manually in the explorer, ...
maybe the problem can be solved, simply by putting the running track number in front of the
filename.
