FLAC(FLAC ID3V2)

#1

(Florian, congrats for the best tag editor I've seen).

Some of my files are tagged "FLAC(FLAC ID3V2)"
Is it confusing ?
Which one is the best : FLAC or ID3V2 ?
I guess I could suppress the unusefull one.

I use custom tags for classical music over Slimserver, as per :
http://wiki.erland.homeip.net/index.php/Se...c_to_SlimServer

It is a bit heavy, but is it worth while ?

Mp3tag only supports writing vorbis comments on flac files (shown as FLAC) which is also the only official tag format for flac.

  • I understand. So, this tag labelled "FLAC(FLAC ID3V2)" simply means "FLAC" ?
I tried to erase the item "(FLAC ID3V2)" via "options-tag" but the infos are only in it.
At less, that means that there is no conflict

It means file has FLAC and ID3v2 tags and FLAC tag is displayed.
There are no tag options for flac.
You can try Ctrl+X and then Ctrl+V to remove ID3v2.

PS: If you want to have this quote in every post, add it as signature.

  • OK. But it removes "FLAC", leaves "ID3V2" and infos are lost.
