Format Value RegExp Inconsistency (with Notepad++)

I frequently use the regular expression #[^#]*$ to select the last occurrence of a character in a string and beyond (in this case the character would be #). This regexp doesn't seem to work with the Format Value expression.

The above Topic Description is a simplification ... my issue is that I have titles for podcasts that are too long, so I want to chop them down to size, splitting at a word boundary.

T=5
F=TITLE
1=$if($eql(%album%,'The John Batchelor Show'),$regexp($left(%title%,80),\\s[^\\s]*$,),%title%)

Thx.

$left($left(%TITLE%,80),$sub($strrchr($left(%TITLE%,80),' '),1)) ... or ... $regexp($left(%TITLE%,80),'\s[^\s]*$',) From: 'The Wonders At Your Feet' To : 'The Wonders At Your' $regexp('jeorge jones','j[^j]*$',) From: 'jeorge jones' To : 'jeorge '
