Just a Suggestion, to be able to make Export Config groups.
I am making several Export configs. for example one for year, one for disc, one with another completely different layout and thus starts to clutter quickly. It would be handy if you could “sort” them in groups. Just a suggestion of course
I already name them accordingly but it would be more handy to have them under different groups, sort of making Folders and Sub Folders.
I’ve only exported my configuration as a backup for when I updated my computer components and OS, so I’m curious about your use case here. It sounds like you have separate configurations for updating the year, disc, etc? Can I ask why not just do all that at once? Or am I misunderstanding?
I regularly export thus way I have different configs depending on the music I am exporting.
I just could not be bothered to always edit the Configuration files, as mistakes (typo) can happen easily. I sometimes (for example) Have compilations per year, per disc or per artist and they have all 3 completely different layouts, and different text depending totally, if it’s Flac, Mp3 or M4a. It’s just my way of doing it,
If you ask me it wouldn’t be that difficult to implement as Florian reads the export files on the fly, from the export directory. But if not, no worries, my method works although cluttered.
I changed to MAC, and I bought Mp3tag for MAC in the appstore, but the Export function is why I am now running Mp3tag x64 under Wine on my MAC still using Mp3tag Mac for small edits
Export Configs is what this about. NOT action groups.
Action groups are for making your Audio files populate with tags as you like them and in a batch and those tags I then afterwards use to make a text file with my Export Configs.
An example of the output of a Export Config
Artist: **Name Of Artist **
Album Title: Gold
Genre: Pop
Year: 2005
Quality/Bitrate: MPEG 1 Layer III 320 Kbps
Length: 03 hrs 00 min 17 sec
Tracks: 60
[Disc 1]
Artist - Title [2:56]
etc etc etc
Normally this is full of BBCode but because of the Forum SW these get stripped
Ah, I see. I thought you were referring to the Mp3tag settings - exporting your configuration - but you're talking about the configuration of your exports. My mistake, thanks for the clarification.
