guessing track number

Anyone have a recommendation on how to fill track numbers within the tag? I have filesnames that are in a variety of formats ie:
##-artist-title
artist-##-title
etc.

Is there a clean way to filter the filename down to a number and paste that into the mp3tag?

I was thinking of filtering files by 01,02,03 etc and manually tagging each group -- should be an easier way though :rolleyes:

I am right? You only want the tracknumber from your filename into your tag?
Only for filenames with track inside:
1.: Format field TRACK with %_filename%
2.: A Regular Expression with field TRACK:

.*-\s?(\d+)\s?-.*|^(\d+)\s?-.*  substitute with $1$2
