Help please %track%-%artist% - %title%

hello

is there a way to change this such that it always converts to 2 digits, automatically even if the track numbers are 1,2,3,4,5,6 etc
i.e. rename to 2 digits 01,02,03,04 etc

%track%-%artist% - %title%

thank you

Where? Which function are you referring to?

2 digits?
See e.g. here:

Or, of course, the documentation:

that esp. has the example of 2-digit track numbers.

Please start posting real examples from your own collection.
It helps a lot to include screenshots of your data, functions and used Format strings.

Talking about ALT 2
But in a nutshell I need to combine CTRL K ( 2 digits) with ALT1

So i can use ALT1 but auto makes the track 2 digits

Thanks

For all other readers:

Alt + 2 = Convert Filename -> Tag
Alt + 1 = Convert Tag -> Filename
Ctrl + K = Convert Auto-numbering Wizard

think ive worked it out $num(%track%,2)-%artist% - %to doing exactly what i want adds ALt1 to CTRLK

In fact I've added this to the action that moves The in the artist and album artist fields

e.g the Beatles
Becomes
Beatles, The

Mp3tag is truly awesome, makeing changes in seconds that would have taken me hours to do.

I'm sorry I don't ask questions in the correct way, I explain things the best I can, and sometimes it would help simply to get an answer not a link to the FAQ or guides, I am learning :hugs:

I've passively read some of your issues over the last few weeks.

I got the impression that you're fairly unwilling to actually learn or to at least follow the common practices in forums. These include reading existing FAQs, guides and similar threads (especially when another user links to specific resources) to prevent having the same questions asked and answered a hundred times in a hundred different places. It's also expected to provide the information that more experienced users ask of you (real world examples, the content of your actions, screenshots etc.) and to actually try their suggestions and report the results.

Imho many of your issues could have been solved within 2-3 replies max. if you had read what was linked to and/or provided the information asked of you by other members.

Except for perhaps Florian, all the people who have helped you out are volunteers. I think it would only be fair to respect their time by letting them help you efficiently and making an effort yourself. They're not google or an AI bot who you can expect

from for every problem you encounter.

On that we agree. It also has one of the most active and helpful communities I've ever encountered with skilled, knowledgeable and patient members.
If you let them help you efficiently it's a win for everyone.

So I'll stand in the corner for 60 minutes hands on my head, or until I've learnt my lesson :enraged_face:
