It will not be purely automatic ...
Make sure that the sequence of files is correct.
Select as source files those where there is the correct data in the wrong files.
From the context menu of the files list select "Cut tags".
Now select the target files, all at once.
From the context menu of the files list select "Paste tags".
This inserts the data from the special clipboard into the tags of the selected files in the same sequence.
You should take care that the number of source files and target files matches.
There is no automation, you have to do it manually.
Step1: Select this block of tracks (source files) ...
Song 01 with Data for 02
Song 02 with Data for 03
Song 03 with Data for 04
Song 23 with Data for 24
Song 24 with Data for 25
Song 25 with Data for 26
Step2: Put data to Mp3tag Clipboard ...
... press [Ctrl+C] to copy ... or ... [Ctrl+X] to cut
... or open the context menu and select 'Tag Copy' ... or ... 'Tag Cut'
Step 3: Select this block of tracks (target files) ...
Step 4: Get data from Mp3tag Clipboard ...
... press [Ctrl+V] to paste
... or open the context menu and select 'Tag Paste'
