How to add index or counter to the ID3 TITLE Tag

Hello all.
Just loaded up MP3Tag and will give it a try.
I tried searching on the forum, but just can't seem to get the correct lingo to find the info I am looking for.
I do books on my iPhone/iPod.
It requires me to have a unique title for each track I load.
I have a book with like over 200 tracks. I know, a bit much!
What I need is a way to add a sequence number, index, or counter to the front or back of the TITLE tag.
This is too much to do manually.
Is this possible? With Actions?
Can someone point me to a forum entry that would discuss this?
Perhaps a sample?
If I can be done.
Any other suggestions on how to do this?
Thanks ....
Bob

You could have a look at ...
Is there a way to auto-increment tag info?

OK, Thanks for the tip and the link.
Now I have to figure out how to do that.
I'll have to check HELP on how that is done.
I assume it is the ACTIONS were are talking about.
I need to figure out where to put the code and run it.

Might there be some forum posts that do into a little detail about how this works?
I'll figure it out.
Thanks again ...

Yes, you need the action menu:

in any case:
Action: Format Value
Field: TITLE

and then it depends on what exactly you want as result:

Formatstring: %_counter%
gives you titles like: 1, 2, 3, ....

Formatstring: %track%
gives you
the track number as title

Formatstring: $num(%_counter%,2)
gives you titles like: 01, 02, 03, ....

Formatstring: $num(%track%,2)
gives you the track number with a leading zero as title

Formatstring: $num(%_counter%,3)
gives you titles like: 001, 002, 003, ....

Formatstring: $num(%_counter%,2) - %title%
gives you titles like: 01 - , 02 - , 03 - , ....

Formatstring: %album% - $num(%_counter%,2)
gives you titles like: 01, 02, 03, ...

Thanks for the additional input.

I had actually figured it out before I read your post, but appreciate the extra stuff.
I was in Actions, but could not get the EDIT button to work.
I finally figured it out.
This is really powerful stuff!
Thanks for opening the door!
