Handfullofwater

RE-^.{1} will do the majic. thanks to the forum

You have the choice ...

Cut First letter case ignored.
$mid(%TITLE%,2,$len(%TITLE%))

Cut First letter case ignored.
$right(%TITLE%,$sub($len(%TITLE%),1))

Cut First letter case ignored.
$reverse($left($reverse(%TITLE%),$sub($len(%TITLE%),1)))

Cut First letter case ignored.
$regexp(%TITLE%,'^.',)

Cut First letter if lower cased.
$regexp(%TITLE%,'^\l',)

Cut First letter if not lower cased.
$regexp(%TITLE%,'^\L',)

... to read the manual and try out what you want to accomplish, the tools are ready made for you too.

I want to mention, that above written "First" has the meaning of starting reading at the left side of the string (the orientation is LTR=LeftToRight but not RTL=RightToLeft).

thanks for the suggestion. but i could not understand --$regexp....in your quotecut first letter if lower cased-$regexp(%TITLE%,'^\l',)
where to find that? do u mean replace with regular expression replace string? if it is so then , i have to put those inside the parenthesis as the regular expression. am i right?

I've discussed your theme of "having no knowledge how to use the hammer from the toolbox" already there:
how to replace the fourth underscore to a dash?
