How to find COMPOSER with diacritic character

I have discovered an issue with sorting tags in my music player app: if a performer field has a diacritic character, it does not get sorted as expected. This applies to COMPOSER and CONDUCTOR among others.

How can I use Mp3tag to find tracks whose values for these fields include a diacritic character within the first two places? If this is possible, it would make the correction task a lot easier. Thanks.

Some software (in my case I'm thinking of MusicIP) cannot handle file and path names that contain diacritical marks (accents, umlauts, etc.: e.g., é, â, ü, ñ). Thanks for the help. Is there any way to restrict this filter to only look at the first X characters in the field?
