I "literally" discovered the hard way that to apply the Action > Replace does not in fact replace the double-backslash present in a — with whatever I intend to. In this case, I wish to replace the double-backslash (\) (or, similarly, the single backslash, the double-slash, the single slash) with a space-dot-space, which, in itself, appears to pose a problem. However, I am sticking to it.
The little I understand of it, I have to use the Action > "Replace with regular expression" with which to achieve the intended replacement, but since I do not have the level of regex training it commands, I am asking for your assistance.
Please check the extended tags dialogue and you will probably find 2 fields of the same kind the data of which you see as separated with the double backslash.
You would have to apply an action of the type "Merge duplicate fields" to join them. Set a different separator than the backslash.

There are no less than three ARTIST fields in the extended (metadata) dialogue. I am going to use the "Merge duplicate fields" Action to see what I can turn up.
