ID3v1 tag not showing in WAV file

ID3v1 tag not showing after converting WAV to MP3

As MP3tag does not convert audio formats I would assume that missing tag data is a problem of the re-encoding program.

If you still have the original wav file with tag data, then you can copy & paste the tag data to the new MP3 file.

I wanted to ask you @ohrenkino, if in @DLWARD MP3tag

In Mp3tag options
Mpeg

Read
If the
ﬦ ID3v1
option is not checked, is it possible that this tag is not displayed...

It would be interesting to see if there is a ID3V1 tag at all in the files.
I wonder where it should come from - I think that most WAV files have only those Riff chunks.
So a screenshot of the extended tags dialogue from a single converted file would help.

Hello @ohrenkino,

What you say is true, i'm wondering the same thing, i've never seen a file written only as ID3V1, my files are written as ID3v2.3 (ID3v1 ID3v2.3).

Hello @DLWARD, welcome to the group.

Can you send an image of your ID3V1 file

Sorry, I'm curious, what encoding or re-encoding program do you use for your files?

Because you told Mp3tag to write this way. If you tell Mp3tag to save only ID3v1 it will do so with MP3s, but not with waves.
