Installation of updated version

I just updated to the most recent version. Minor quibble here:

I cannot recall this with previous updates, but the program would not install over top of the older version, but rather made me exit and find the Windows' place to uninstall programs and then restart the installation of the new version.

I think it's fair to say that this is unusual behaviour - most often when installing a minor version update, programs will simply install over the previous installation. I would prefer that rather than having to take several additional steps.

However despite the comment I still think it is a great program. Thanks Florian!

If the message that made you exit mentioned 32-bit vs. 64-bit, uninstalling the previous version is a necessary step — 32-bit programs use different folders and registry branches than 64-bit programs.

If you choose an architecture other than the one currently installed, you'd need to do this with the next update again (minor or major).

Ah.... yes. That would appear to be the case - I inadvertently downloaded the 32 bit version. The old trick - choose the first name in the list. If you are running for election you want your last name to start with an "A"....

Thanks Richard
