Like many, I use various tools to alert me to new versions of software. A couple of the tools I use have difficulty with MP3TAG. Internally, the installer for the latest version reports it as v.3.31.1.0 while the web page says its v3.31a. Is it possible to fix this?
Do you mean the properties in the installer EXE?
Maybe your tools can use the "Produktversion" instead of "Dateiversion"?
Or which number do you mean on the "web page"?
BTW:
Mp3tag has a built-in update function. Just check your File -> Options -> Updates settings:
This way Mp3tag automatically check for newer versions on every program start.
