I downloaded several Grateful Dead bootlegs that are part of a collection called Hunter's Trix. The albums are named like this: yyyy-mm-dd Hunter's Trix Vol. X.
For example: 1977-05-04 Hunter's Trix Vol. 009.
What I would like to do is simply add a - between the date and Hunter's Trix, so it looks like this: 1977-05-04 - Hunter's Trix Vol. 009.
Since there are over 150 albums, if there's a way to do this automatically, it would be great.
Thanks
What does "named" mean? Are you referring to the album tag or the file name?
Which tag-fields are filled and what is the content of these field?
Once you determine whether it is file name or album metadata field that needs changing it will be easy. Essentially you'll be doing a replacement of "Hunter" with " - Hunter"
Try an action of the type "Format value" or Convert>Tag-Tag for ALBUM
Format string: $regexp(%album%,(.*\d+\s+)(.*),$1- $2)
Maybe a bit easier to understand is Tag-Tag:

Just check on the spaces there may be.
If it's the file names und you do not have an album tag, well there is Filename - Tag, also easyto understand, you get a quick preview for a selectet file and with the use of the placeholder %dummy% you'll get a lot done. Once you have the album name set as you wanted, there ist Tag - Filename.
And you have the UN Do build into mp3tag, as long you keep the files open in it.
Or, just copy them first to a test folder.
