You probably mixed portable and standard installation in the past.
If you install standard your configuration files reside in %appdata%\Mp3tag\
If you install portable they reside in the folder you told to install the program.
Mp3Tag leads you to the configuration files of your actual installation with File->Open configuration folder
When you see the Uninstall tab and push it, you would think that it would completely uninstall.
As far as mixing the portable portable version with a standard version... would not of happened.
Just the usual updates from version to version..which have been pretty problem free til this one for me.
Anyway.. I guess Windows is a perfect OS... (I say jokingly)
