Keeping settings on macOS via Wine

hello,

thanks for the update!
I have a mac, and would like to install the new version.
on your site you mentioned to delete the previous version before installing the new one.
does it means that it will delete all the actions, and specific column I have created ?

thanks

tracta

Yes, the settings are all stored under

/Users/<Your Name>/Library/Application Support/de.mp3tag.Mp3tag_<some number>/drive_c/users/Mp3tag/

You can create a copy of this folder or backup your settings via "File > Save configuration". To restore the backup, you have to unzip the backup archive to the directory from above.

Hi Florian,

I have tried the above instructions and had no luck.

OBJECTIVE: All i wanted was to have all the same "panels" & "columns" showing on my Mac Mini to be the same on my Mac Book Pro.

SOLUTION/ FIX: What i did was to copy the full "Mp3tag" folder on my Mac Mini and paste it into the same directory location in my Mac Book Pro & BINGO, It worked. (For other users reading this: This "Mp3tag" file can be found in the same location as mentioned in Florian's above message.) I have also saved folder as a backup for future.

QUESTION: If i had to do a complete clean install of my Mac Mini and had to install the latest version of MP3Tag can i still do the same as what i have done earlier or will it crash the new version of MP3Tag?

Thank you for the brilliant software and hard work you have put into it. I have been using your software for a very, very long time.
