Looking for help calculating total play time for a list of files

I need to be able to calculate the total play time for a finite collection of FLAC or mp3 audio files. Can anyone provide an action item script for doing that? It would be very helpful when creating a list of files for a DJ's music program on the radio.

You know that you can see the total playing time of a selection of files in MP3Tag in the lower right corner?
